Dr. Siddhartha Khare has done Ph.D in Geomatics Engineering discipline (Remote Sensing and GIS) from IIT Roorkee. He has earned his M.Tech in Geomatics Engineering (Remote Sensing and GIS) from IIT Roorkee. The central component of his research has been Remote Sensing and GIS, more specifically in ‘Multi-source Multi-temporal Remote Sensing based Analysis of Forest Biodiversity’. The target applications of his research are phenology modelling, forest mapping and plant species level diversity assessment using GIS and Remote Sensing based approaches. As a part of his doctoral work, he visited Germany twice as a ‘Visiting Research Scholar’ in Department of Remote Sensing of University of Wuerzburg. He was awarded DAAD (German Academic Exchange Service) scholarship to participate in ILUS Summer School 2016 held at Faculty of Environment and Natural Resources of University of Freiburg, Germany. He has several research papers published in peer reviewed journals. He won the best paper award in International Conference on System Modeling & Advancement in Research Trends (SMART) 2014, Noida. He has been invited by Department of Science and Technology (DST) as a Resource Person to give training on “Geospatial Technologies” at Chitkara University,Solan. Further, he was also invited as a Resource Person for ‘Advances in Image Processing and Remote Sensing’ (AIPRS-17) under TEQIP-II sponsored course of Government of India, MHRD organized by DeenbadhuChhotu Ram University of Science and Technology,Sonepat, Haryana for duration March 6 -10, 2017.
