Roy joined NIIT University, from IBM (where he worked as Senior Managing Consultant) as Senior Director, Center for Industry Collaboration. He joined IBM as Learning and Organization Development Leader for Strategic Outsourcing -Delivery of IBM. In his 26+ years of work experience, comprising of 10 years as faculty at Birla Institute of Technology & Science, Pilani; 5 years as Senior Manager at Wipro Technologies, about 3 years as Associate Vice President at Valtech India, and 2 years as General Manager, Learning & Capability Building at ITC Infotech Roy is known for his innovations in the areas of Learning and Development. Roy is also a certified Project Management Professional, PMP as it is popularly known. Roy takes pride in transforming more than 200 employees as PMPs at Wipro Technologies. Roy is the pioneer in making Wipro Technologies as one of the first few organizations in India to embrace e-Learning. Roy is an evangelist for University-Industry linkages. Roy is also a master facilitator delivering Leadership programs and Business Consulting workshops across five continents.

Roy has a passion in Training Administration which is fast emerging in India as a key strategic unit. He is also a columnist in few of the popular newspapers. He is a guest speaker at many Institutes in India.

Roy has a M E in Civil Engineering from BITS-Pilani. He is Member of Indian Society for Technical Education, Member of Project Management International, Member of NASSCOM’s RIM Council. He was a member of Skills Advisory Committee of QAI. He was trained at the Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore.
