Mr Abhay Srivastava
- Assistant Professor
- Mathematics and Basic Sciences
Abhay Srivastava is an Assistant Professor in the area of Mathematics and Basic Sciences at NIIT University. He is currently pursuing his Ph.D. in Mathematics from Delhi Technological University (DTU), Delhi, with a research focus on fractional-order epidemic models, differential equations, mathematical modelling, and biomathematics. He has also worked as a Junior Research Fellow (JRF) on a DST-SERB funded research project at Dr. Harisingh Gour Vishwavidyalaya (A Central University), Sagar, Madhya Pradesh. His project focused on the dynamics and optimal control of mathematical models for the spread of infectious diseases, incorporating media awareness, vaccination, quarantine, and isolation strategies. Abhay has actively participated in national and international academic events and has presented his work at reputed platforms.
In addition to his academic and research accomplishments, he has qualified IIT-JAM (2015) and GATE (Mathematics, 2022) and has secured first position in his Master’s programme at college level. He holds good command over mathematical software tools such as MATLAB, Mathematica, and LaTeX. Abhay’s research interests lie in fractional calculus, nonlinear dynamics, and disease modelling, especially with applications in public health policy. At NIIT University, he aims to contribute to research-integrated teaching, mentor young minds, and collaborate across disciplines to address real-world problems using mathematical frameworks.
