Introduction
NU’s Principles to Protect Privacy
In order to protect your privacy, NU has adopted the following principles for the Portal:

a) Security
Wherever your Personal Information may be held within the Portal, NU intends to take reasonable steps to protect it from unauthorised access or disclosure. NU is committed to protecting the security of your personal information. We use a variety of security technologies and procedures to help protect your personal information from unauthorised access, use, or disclosure. For example, we store the personal information you provide on computer systems
with limited access, which are located in controlled facilities. When we transmit highly confidential information (such as a credit card number or password) over the Internet, we protect it through the use of encryption, such as the Secure Socket Layer (SSL) protocol.
b) Choice
You may choose whether or not to provide Personal Information to NU on the Portal. The notice by NU on the Portal intends to provide at the point where it collects Personal Information on the Portal, should help you to make this choice. If you choose not to provide the Personal Information we request, you may not be able to access most parts of the Portal in as much as you may be unable to access certain options, offers, and services that involve our interaction with you. If you chose to have a relationship with NU on the Portal, such as a contractual or other business relationship, the Portal will naturally continue to contact you in connection with that business relationship.
c) Notice
Where NU collects Personal Information on the Portal, the Portal intends to post a purpose statement that explains why Personal Information will be collected and whether NU on the Portal plans to share such Personal Information outside of the Portal or with those working on NU’s behalf on the Portal. Unless the transfer of Personal Information is legally required, NU does not intend to transfer Personal Information without your permission to third parties who are not bound to act on NU’s behalf.
d) Access/Accuracy
To the extent that you do provide to NU on the Portal with Personal information, NU wishes to maintain accurate Personal Information. Where NU collects Personal Information from you on the Portal, its aim is to provide a means of contacting the Portal should you need to update or correct that Information. We also collect certain information from your computer hardware and software, and your activity on our services. This information may include: your IP address, browser type, operating system, domain name, access times and referring web Portal addresses. This information is used for the operation of our service, to maintain quality of our service, and to provide general statistics regarding use of the Portal. If for any reason those means are
unavailable or inaccessible, you may send updates and corrections about your Personal Information to the Portal and NU will make reasonable efforts to incorporate the changes.

A. For alumni interaction or academic and university-related interaction amongst the enrolled students
B. For intra business interaction among various assigns and related entities of NU
