    NIIT University’s BTech Biotechnology programme is considered a highly immersive course offered by any BTech Biotechnology college in India. NU’s Btech Biotech programme is driven by the development of the theoretical knowledge base as well as the business needs of the Biotechnology sector. It comprises a flexible model where the course content continuously evolves with the rapid changes occurring in the Biotechnology industry. The courses provide competence in Biotechnology through training in the areas of Microbiology, Biological Chemistry, Analytical Techniques, Environmental Biotechnology, Bioprocess Technology, Immunology, Molecular Biology and Bioinformatics.     Undergraduate research

    NU BTech architecture is flexible enough to allow students interested in higher studies and careers in industrial R&D opportunities to participate in research at the undergraduate level itself. The research initiated in the fourth semester is fully integrated in the Capstone and R&D project course in the fifth and sixth semester, respectively. Also, Industry Practice in the eighth semester can be done in an R&D organisation for those with a research bent of mind or in industry for those who want to go for employment directly after BTech.     The BiOmics 2019 Symposium was a full-day programme of Keynote lectures, Oral & Poster presentations and interactive dialogue at the symposium among undergraduates, postgrads, research scholars and faculty members. The event brought together about 90 participants from 17 different universities/colleges/companies like IIT Roorkee, BITS Pilani, IIT Ropar, MDU-Rohtak, Amity University Haryana, Amity University Rajasthan, GLA University Mathura, Raffles University Neemrana, Shri SN Halena PG College, Bharatpur, RGPV Bhopal, GenTox Research & Development to present and share their research regarding the recent advances in different areas of biotechnology.

    Agar Art Contest
    This Agar Art Contest named BiO-Streaks, a competition hosted by the Biotechnology & Bioinformatics area of NIIT University, is the source of some true microbe masterpieces. For the contest, biologists, and artists “paint” strands of bacteria on agar, a gelatinous substance used to prepare microbial cultures. Students from different departments of the institute and other universities actively participated in this event. After creating a marvelous art piece Keerthana Reddy acquired the title of winner and Vista Vincent and Soumya Gupta jointly became the 1st Runner up with equal points in their bags.

But you must have passed (10+2) in science stream with PCM/PCB/PCMB as main subjects from a recognised board. However, we provide our students with basic understanding of mathematics by exposing them to courses in remedial mathematics so that they can learn important concepts which may be required in solving biological problems later.
