NIIT University holds its 15th Convocation Ceremony
NIIT University (NU) held the 15th Convocation ceremony on Saturday, 11 October 2025. The ceremony commenced at 11:00 am in the university auditorium. Shri Srikanth Velamakanni, Co-Founder, Group Chief Executive & Executive Vice-Chairman, Fractal and Vice Chairperson, NASSCOM graced the occasion as the Chief Guest and delivered the Convocation Address.

About the Chief Guest, Shri Srikanth Velamakanni, Co-Founder, Group Chief Executive & Executive Vice-Chairman, Fractal and Vice Chairperson, NASSCOM
Srikanth Velamakanni is one of India’s most influential technology leaders and a global champion of artificial intelligence. He is the Co-Founder and Group Chief Executive of Fractal, which he helped grow from a five-person startup into India’s first AI unicorn.
Just in the last three months, Fractal filed to go public, was chosen by the Government of India’s AI Mission to build the nation’s first foundational reasoning model, and was named by Glassdoor among the world’s best-led companies for 2025.
These achievements at Fractal are only part of Srikanth’s broader impact on the technology landscape. He serves as Vice-Chairperson of Nasscom, where he is helping shape India’s $250-billion technology sector and guiding national conversations on AI’s future. He has been the driving force behind ventures such as Qure.ai, which earned a spot on TIME’s list of the 100 Most Influential Companies in the World in 2025.
