Vista Vincent (Class of 2021), a BTech Computer Science & Engineering student, never imagined that he would land a plum job as reports of job losses spiralled given the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the global economy. As it happens, he not only bagged a plum placement with financial powerhouse Morgan Stanley, but he also secured the highest package offered at NIIT University (NU) – ₹ 25 lakh per annum.
“Despite the precarious times, NU’s placement cell presented me with abundant opportunities,” says Vincent, who did his industry practice at Morgan Stanley as well.
He adds: “My experience as an intern at Morgan Stanley was surreal. I got to work with cutting-edge technologies in Big Data and Cloud and got to work with a global team. When my internship ended, I was given a PPO for a full-time role based on my performance, after another round of technical interviews. I have since accepted the offer and have begun my training period in the firm as a full-time employee.”
