Dr Sumedha Bhatnagar is an academician and researcher in the field of Economics. She has completed her PhD in Economics from the Department of Humanities and Social Sciences, Malaviya National Institute of Technology (MNIT) Jaipur in 2025. Her doctoral research focused on green finance and sustainable investment, exploring the role of financial mechanisms and policy instruments in promoting low-carbon economic development in emerging economies. Dr Bhatnagar holds a Masters degree in Economics from the University of Rajasthan (2015) and a Bachelors degree in Economics (Honours) with Mathematics from The IIS University, Jaipur (2013). She has nearly three years of professional experience in roles such as Business Analyst in the Industries Department, Government of Rajasthan, and as a Young Professional Fellow under the Planning Department. She has also served as a Research Assistant on multiple policy-oriented projects under the NITI Aayog Chair, University of Rajasthan. As an academic, Dr Bhatnagar has published extensively, with several articles in peer-reviewed international journals including SCI and Scopus-indexed publications, and has contributed book chapters and conference papers on topics related to green finance, economic policy, MSMEs and sustainability. She is also a reviewer in reputed Scopus-indexed journals. Her teaching and research interests include green and sustainable finance, public finance, environmental economics and microeconomics.
