On August 28 2024, NIIT University, in collaboration with the National Service Scheme (NSS), organized a successful blood donation camp on campus. The event was held in partnership with the Indian Red Cross Society.
Students, faculty, and staff members showed up in large numbers with over 100 donors registering to donate blood. The Indian Red Cross Society provided all necessary medical equipment and expertise for the camp. The registration process as well as support to the donors was managed by the NSS volunteers and students of SOCIAL ACTION PROJECT course of fourth year iMBA (Integrated MBA) students. NU Admin staff provided all the required backend support.
This well coordinated blood donation camp saw a total of 110 units of blood being collected at the end of the day. The voluntary effort was deeply appreciated by the Indian Red Cross Society. NU thanks the blood donors and all the people involved in organizing this socially relevant event including the faculty resource person, Dr Deepak Khanna and student coordinators – Ms Sanjana S Nair and Ms Drishti Joshi.
