This blog is your guide to understanding the various entrance exams, their eligibility criteria, and how they can help you get into the best university for B. Tech across India.

Whether you’re aiming for state-level exams or want to explore private colleges, this blog is your one-stop solution to get all the information you need for a bright engineering career!

JEE (Joint Entrance Examination)

The Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) is the gateway to engineering programs across India. It is divided into two stages: JEE Main (formerly known as AIEEE) and JEE Advanced. JEE Main consists of 90 multiple-choice questions covering Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry for a total of 300 marks. The exam is conducted by the National Testing Agency for admission to B. Tech, B. Arch, B. Planning, etc. programs in premier technical institutes such as the National Institutes of Technology (NITs), Indian Institutes of Information Technology (IIITs), and Government Funded Technical Institutes (GFTIs). Admission to these institutes is based on the rank secured in the JEE-Main exam.

Successful candidates in JEE Main qualify to appear for JEE Advanced, which is required for admission to the prestigious Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs).

The scores and rankings of JEE Mains are accepted by all government engineering colleges in India. If you feel that your JEE Main score may not secure a good seat for you, you can also consider taking other state-level and private university entrance exams to secure a seat that suits you.
