He completed his PhD from IIT ISM (Dhanbad), with his research focused on seismic hazard assessment in northern Bihar using geospatial techniques. His research interests primarily revolve around environmental hazard assessment and the application of geospatial and image enhancement techniques.

Prof Gautham More

Prof Gautham More, an alumnus of Bangalore University, is a Professor of Practice and Area Director of Educational Technology. With over 36 years of experience in Finance, Technology and ICT Education, he brings to NIIT University a wealth of expertise.
A banker turned education technologist, Prof. More’s passion for education started through several experiments with students in rural Karnataka which involved the use of technology as a tool in learning. From then on, his quest for impacting lives through education led him into various corporate roles in India and Africa.
His tenure at NIIT Ltd was at the Instructional Research & Development Division, then at NIIT Networks and finally NIIT School Learning Solutions. The stint at NIIT was embellished with multiple awards of Excellence that culminated in being a member of the Chairman’s Quality Club when he was Technology Head at School Learning Solutions.
With the intent of touching more young lives with quality education, Prof More moved to RUMI Education which was in the affordable school segment. As General Manager for Technology Initiatives, his solutions won the best Innovation award In Vocational Education & Skills Training at World Education Summit 2011.
His expertise in executing high volume ICT projects was leveraged next by Core Education & Technologies. As Senior Vice President for operations, he ensured that quality computer education was made a reality for more than 5 million students across the country with more than 35000 educators getting trained in ICT.
This capability then extended to the African continent, wherein, as Chief Executive Officer of STPL Global, he leveraged Ed-tech extensively to improve the quality of learning and instruction in schools in Nigeria.
He is currently involved in the Technical and Higher Education domain as well, notably with NIIT University where he is responsible for implementing Pedagogic innovations through an elaborate Learning Engineering framework called the Additive Curriculum. The industry is involved in mentoring students by providing real-industry problems along with the necessary technical tools and insights. This integration of learning and business processes through the Additive Curriculum prepares students to be industry ready.
