Dr Gyanesh Jain’s doctoral thesis focusses on the predictive analytics of commodity derivatives in India. He has been working in the fields of econometrics, machine learning and deep learning. Dr Jain has applied for a patent titled “A method for investigating the manipulated financial statements of aviation company.”
Dr Jain has been a consultant on various projects for corporates and the government, where his expertise in the optimisation of resources and data analytics were commended by the experts. The results of one such project was published by Harvard Publications.
Dr Jain has helped various industry professionals to upskill in the field of data science and analytics. As NU faculty, he has worked with corporates such as Coforge Ltd., ICICI Bank, Prudential, WNS Analytics and Axis Bank. He also coordinates NU’s Industry-linked programme, which is in collaboration with Coforge Pvt Ltd.
Dr Jain is also the coordinator of NU Gamers Club.
