Dr Sachin Pathak
- Assistant Professor
- Area: Mathematics and Basic Sciences
Dr Sachin Pathak received his PhD from IIT Patna and MSc from IIT Kanpur. The main area of his research is in Algebraic Coding Theory, along with the construction of quantum error-correcting codes and DNA codes. More specifically, his research topic directly links Electrical Engineering, Computer Science and Mathematics.
Dr Pathak has devised the construction of Homological Quantum codes from surface maps. The target applications of his research are the construction of Entanglement-assisted quantum error-correcting codes (EAQECCs) and secret sharing schemes. In his latest endeavour, Dr Pathak worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher at IIIT Delhi on a project entitled ‘Development of efficient homomorphic secret sharing schemes for applications in public health’. He has several publications published in peer-reviewed journals.
