Dr Lopa Pattanaik received her PhD in Environmental Biotechnology from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Delhi. She has ~2 years of teaching and nearly five years of research experience, in addition to the four years of PhD research experience.
Dr Pattanaik has been awarded the National Post-Doctoral Fellowship by DST-SERB for her post-doctoral studies at IIT, Guwahati. Her research majorly focuses on waste valorisation (conversion of solid and liquid wastes into energy and value-added products), process optimisation for natural product extraction, and life cycle analysis. She has 23 publications in peer-reviewed journals/book chapters/conferences.
Dr Pattanaik has received the ‘Institute Gold Medal’ in MTech and the “Prof. Mira Madan Excellence Award” in the doctoral programme.
