Dr Ratna Sanyal
Dr Ratna Sanyal is Professor, Computer Science & Engineering, and Dean, Research at NIIT University (NU). Dr Sanyal received her PhD degree in 1989 from the Banaras Hindu University and has more than 37 years of teaching and research experience.

Previously, Dr Sanyal managed different National and International government-funded projects such as PI, CO-PI, etc., and acted as coordinator for projects such as the Universal Digital Library (UDL); Technology Development in Indian Languages; Digitization projects, ASEAN – INDIA S&T Digital Library; DSIR-APTECH Web-Based Education System, etc. Her current areas of research include software engineering, natural language processing and digital library issues.

Dr Sanyal has published more than 64 papers in international journals, conferences and books, and has given more than twenty invited talks. She is a member of the editorial board of international journals and of program committees, as well as reviewer of many national and international conferences and journals.

Dr Sanyal has been honoured with the ‘Test of Time’ award for her phenomenal influence on SW engineering practices in ISEC 2020. She has also been honoured with national and international educational honours including the ‘Best Educationist’ award (2016) and a ‘Certificate of Education Excellence’ by IIEM, New Delhi.
