Invited Talk – Marcella O’Shea & Ishvinder Singh from CISCO on Cyber Security – From Present to Future
Ms Marcella O’Shea and Mr. Ishvinder Singh from Cisco delivered a talk on ‘Cyber Security – From Present to Future’ in the Audi on Wednesday March 03, 2023. Cyber Security is of great importance in today’s data and information driven world. The speakers, both industry stalwarts, shared their vast experience with NUtons. The guests were welcomed by NUtons and NUrturers. After the talk, Marcella and Ishvinder gave away certificates to NUtons who had successfully completed courses offered by CISCO NetAcad.
Invited Talk – Ms Neelam Ahluwalia on ‘Aravalli Bachao Campaign’
Ms Neelam Ahluwalia delivered a talk on ‘Aravalli Bachao Campaign’ in the Audi on Wednesday March 01, 2023. Talk was well attended by NUtons and NUrturers alike.
It went well beyond the assigned time with students having a deep dialog with Ms. Ahluwalia and her colleague, Ms Jyoti Raghavan. The invitees were felicitated by Prof. Parimal V Mandke, Vice President, NU and Prof. Vijay V Mandke, Mentor Professor and Area Director, ET Area, NU. Maj. Gen. A. K. Singh, Dean Student Affairs & Chief Operations Officer thanked the guests for their insightful talk and discussions.
NU celebrates National Science Day 2023
NU celebrated the National Science Day on February 28th 2023. On this day in 1928, the late Sir C V Raman, a renowned physicist announced the discovery of the famous ‘Raman Effect’ to the world. He was awarded with the Nobel Prize in Physics for this discovery in 1930.
Book Launch – Start-ups and Disruption by Kadambari Rao Batra
NU organized a book launch session on Saturday, February 04, 2023. The book titled – Start-ups and Disruption’ is authored by Ms Kadambari Rao Batra, a noted professional working with the IT sector that provides solutions to the insurance industry.
NU observes Martyrs’ Day 2023
Martyrs’ Day or Shaheed Diwas is observed on 30th January every year to pay tribute to Mahatma Gandhi on his death anniversary. The day also honors all freedom fighters who sacrificed their lives for the country.
10th Annual Kite Flying Festival to celebrate Makar Sankranti
The Makara Sankranti celebrations began at NU on 13th January with Lohri and had NUtons dancing and singing around a bon fire while feasting on peanuts and ravedee, a sesame & jaggery based dessert.
Celebrating Republic Day 2023: Fostering Tolerance, Peace, and Communal Harmony
India’s diverse and pluralistic society derives strength from its core values of tolerance, peace, and communal harmony. As we gather to celebrate Republic Day at NIIT University (NU), we embrace these values that define our identity while showcasing our talents. The flag hoisting ceremony at Central Bowl holds a central position in our celebrations, symbolizing national pride, unity, and a solemn tribute to the sacrifices of our freedom fighters. This ceremony fosters patriotism and reverence among all members of NU.
NU participates in Run for Unity on Unity Day 2022
NIIT University conducted several activities on October 31st as part of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel’s birth anniversary celebrations. 31st October is celebrated as ‘Unity Day’ to mark the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, known for his supreme patriotism, iron will, and courage of conviction. His vital role in the Indian freedom struggle and unification of States earned him the title of ‘Iron Man of India’.
